Join the Camp Sky-Y team and help create a summer campers will remember for years to come! Applications open on December 1st!
Nestled in the pines of Prescott, our YMCA overnight camp welcomes youth ages 7–16 to build friendships, discover new interests, and grow in confidence.
Our summer counselor positions are full-time and seasonal. As a cabin and program counselor, you’ll help campers feel welcome, guide them through daily routines, and encourage them to try new things. From celebrating a first climb to helping a homesick camper settle in, your care and enthusiasm can make a lasting difference.
Help Lead the Adventure
Counselors support campers across a variety of activities, including:
- High ropes and rock climbing
- Lake activities and canoeing
- Horseback riding
- Arts and crafts
- Archery, target sports, and paintball
- Skits, dance, and evening programs
- Outdoor skills and nature activities
- Sports and team-building games
We also offer opportunities to lead program areas. If you have a special skill or interest, tell us during your interview!

We look for caring, dependable people who bring sound judgment, a willingness to learn, and excitement for working with youth. Our staff put the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility into action every day.
Before campers arrive, staff complete background checks and comprehensive training in youth protection, safety, CPR and first aid, camper support, and activity leadership. Throughout the summer, our leadership team provides guidance and support to help you succeed.
